As of July 13, engineer Federico Veller will be the new General Manager of Profertil S.A., replacing engineer Daniel Pettarin, who was in the position since 2009.

Federico Veller was on the Porfertil board of directors, as vice chairman, representing YPF. He joined YPF in 1997 and held different roles in positions in Argentina and Spain. Since 2018 he was in charge of the Executive Management of Química.

Veller is a native of Paso de los Libres, Corrientes. He is married with three children. He is a Chemical Engineer graduated from the National University of Mar del Plata (1996) and graduated from the management development program of the IAE Business School (2014).

Profertil S.A. is the leading national producer of granulated urea. This nitrogen fertilizer is the most important for key crops such as wheat and maize. The company is equally integrated by YPF and Nutrien Inc. It has been operating its production plant in the port of Ingeniero White for 20 years. There, it produces 1,320,000 tons of granulated urea per year. It also has logistic terminals in San Nicolás, Puerto General San Martín and Necochea. It sells other fertilizers and prepares tailor-made mixtures to provide each territory and crop with the nutrition required.
